I was able to attend our chapter meeting in September, featuring Jim Smith Jr. of JIMPact. We knew we were in for something special when Jim visited each of our tables and asked us if we were ready to let go of our excuses. Not something you might ask in “polite society,” but what a powerful question. In no time, Jim had all of us out of our seats connecting with each other. This certainly wasn't the normal "networking." Instead, we were invited to share much more deeply about what we are most proud of, what's in our way, what do we want to do about it, and how can the other person support us. Suddenly the lovely woman I was partnered with became the only other person in the room. What a privilege to receive what she was sharing in response to those questions.
This chapter meeting was worth much more than the price of admission. Personally, I walked away knowing there are people everywhere (and especially in our Chapter) who are willing and able to help me move beyond my excuses. All I need to do is ask. I hope you’ll be encouraged to do the same!
If you were not able to attend the session, you don’t have to miss out. Check out Jim’s new book, “The No Excuse Guide to Success.” Jim has given us access to three of the books chapters! Click to view Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.
