Hi ATD San Diego,

As I sit here writing this letter it is still hard to believe that I am now Chapter President. I am so excited about taking the great work Annette and her Board of Directors have done and continuing to move the chapter forward. I know with the help of our member volunteers, we will be able to continue to grow our chapter and provide our members with professional development and networking opportunities.

I want to take this opportunity to bring you up-to-date on the approach the Board and I will be taking to move us forward. At our regularly scheduled board meeting in July, we will be holding a strategic planning session. From this work, I hope to be able to publish a clear direction for our chapter and its members which we can use to target actions and events that will make a difference. The first action we will take is to start planning chapter meetings and workshops through the remainder of the year and into 2019. I will provide updates starting with my August letter.

I want to thank you all for putting your faith in me and allowing me to be your chapter leader, and a special thanks to Annette for all she has done and her dedication to our chapter.
