Last year’s annual membership survey, revealed that Performance Consulting was one of  the topics many of our members wanted to know more about.

For our April meeting, we are going to have an expert on Performance Consulting, Alan Landers, talk with us about what Performance Consulting is and what a Performance Consultant does. Here are key points that will be covered:

Meet Your Presenter

ALAN LANDERS

Alan is President and CEO of the OD & Change Leadership Group, a global consultancy with 20 consultants in ten major cities across the United States and partners in five countries. He has been an OD practitioner for over 43 years, starting in 1978 with the City of San Diego’s OD & Training Department. His external consulting career began as a senior consultant with University Associates where he generated over $300K in annual revenue two years in a row before leaving to start his own consultancy. Prior to founding ODCL, Alan held positions of VP of Training and VP of Organization Effectiveness for several international companies. Alan is a Past-President of ATD San Diego, and founder of the Online OD Chat group.

In 2018, Alan established a partnership with the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management to create and deliver a global certificate program in OD and Change Leadership. The ODCL Group’s client list has included many Fortune 500 companies such as General Motors, AT&T, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Dun & Bradstreet, Texas Instruments, and HJ Heinz, among others. Alan has consulted with government agencies, hospitals, universities, manufacturers, nonprofits, and financial institutions domestically and abroad.

His executive-level seminars have been offered at universities across the country. Among them are Southern Methodist, Auburn, Washington State, Michigan State, Texas A&M, San Diego State, UC San Diego, and UC Davis. He also designed and conducted webinars for the Institute for Management Consultants and has trained over 300 consultants.

Alan is a native San Diegan, a graduate of San Diego State University with a BA in Asian Studies and a Masters in HRD from University Associates. He is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute’s basic, intermediate, and advanced Chinese Mandarine courses, and fluent in Mandarin Chinese. When he’s not working, he enjoys golfing.
